The Role:
We are seeking a high energy geoscience professional to serve as a Product Marketing Manager for our geophysical product portfolio, a subset of our Subsurface Science & Engineering (SSE) business. SSE provides end-to-end optimization across subsurface and surface processes and workflows with 40 years of technology leadership in geology, geophysics, petrophysics and reservoir engineering.

The Product Marketing Manager is a global position that has primary "go-to-market" responsibility for our geophysical products. The position will collaborate closely with customers as well as globally distributed cross-functional teams in Sales, Product Management, and Field Marketing to achieve business success in our target market segments as measured by growth in usage, revenue and market share. Your Impact
  • Responsible for driving the development and execution of go-to-market strategies and tactics across key market segments for our geophysical product suite
  • Ability to clearly articulate and demonstrate the value of AspenTech's product solutions to a wide variety of business stakeholders
  • Conduct market and competitive research and translate the research into actionable market strategies and tactics
  • Develop value-based positioning and messaging that differentiates these products in the market
  • Identify Best Practices through research and case studies from customers
  • Translate technical terminology into comprehensible messaging to ensure successful marketing campaigns with compelling content
  • Development of internal (sales enablement) and external (customer-facing) product content including presentations, brochures, e-books, white papers, case studies, videos and others for various marketing channels such as websites, webinars, events and social media
  • Work collaboratively with Industry Marketing to ensure solution area messaging is representative of relevant industry dynamics
What You'll Need

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in geoscience, geophysics or related technical discipline required. MBA a plus
  • 5 - 10 years of experience in the Upstream Oil & Gas segment with demonstratable successes
  • 5+ years of experience across the full software product marketing spectrum
  • Experience with seismic processing, imaging and interpretation software solutions is highly desired
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and convey complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • Excellent writing, presentation, communication and analytical skills. Previous writing examples may be requested.
  • Self-directed, highly motivated, detail-oriented, creative and innovative
  • Cultural awareness and experience working with globally distributed virtual teams
  • Ability and willingness to travel at least 15% (including internationally)
