Quality Control Technician

Quality Control Technician needed in fast paced manufacturing environment at the Citrus Center of Excellence in DSM-Firmenich. Come join the team and pefect/expand your analytical skills. Our QC techs are trained to perform all needed testing and empowered with data review and release decision responsibilities.

Your key responsibilities

* Preparation of household products and raw materials for sensorial and analytical analysis.

* Prepare samples and perform analysis such as: Water activity, pH, Particle Size, Specific Gravity, Refractive Index, Turbidity, micro analysis

* Sample preparation to run GC, GCMS and HPLC techniques. Ensure Best Laboratories Practices is in place, including health and safety, organizational and cleanliness

* Execute troubleshooting and data accuracy from all analysis

* Carry out investigations related to raw materials and finished products

* Support the laboratory on meeting routines with main stakeholders.

You bring:

* Bachelor's degree required preferably within the following disciplines (Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Food Science, Food Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry).

* Excellent verbal and written communications skills

* Proficiency with MS Office: Word, Excel and standard MS office software.

* LIMS and/or SAP experience preferred.

* Experience with the following standard chemical procedures and physical measurements (wet chemistry): GC, GCMS, HPLC, aldehyde, pH, acid value, peroxide value, water content, specific gravity, refractive index, optical rotation, color and/or other standard tests.

* Sensory panel experience (taste and odor) preferred.
