Salary range:
A reasonable estimate for this position is $90,500-$154,000 annually ($43.35-$73.76 hourly). Application Window Open date: September 28, 2023 Most recent review date: Friday, Oct 27, 2023 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Friday, Sep 27, 2024 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The Department of Biomedical Engineering invites applications from qualified candidates for one or more Project Scientist positions in the laboratory of Professor Ramsey Badawi. This position requires creative contributions to and collaborative development of an active research program investigating topics relevant to the research area of Total Body PET methods and applications. Topics include dynamic PET imaging and image reconstruction, parametric imaging, scanner calibration, phantom design, co-registration, real-time motion tracking, optimization of data acquisition and processing, data handling and analysis, new methodology testing, development and utilization in translational research, and consulting with physician researchers on Total Body PET applications research. Other topics may include detector and experimental design to validate and extend Total Body PET capabilities. NATURE AND PURPOSE MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES RESEARCH (85% EFFORT) Publication: Grant Acquisition: PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE AND ACTIVITY (15% EFFORT) The candidate may organize, coordinate and/or give presentations at workshops, seminars, laboratory meetings or educational functions.
