The salary range for this position is: Assistant - $289,680-$412,815 Associate - $334,750- $ 485,785 Full - $345,189 - $532,024 The VA salary range (to be negotiated directly with VA) for this position is: $100,000-$250,000. This position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation plan Application Window Open date: October 25, 2023 Most recent review date: Wednesday, Jan 31, 2024 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Sunday, Jun 30, 2024 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine is recruiting for a full-time faculty member in the Professor of Clinical X or Health Sciences Clinical Professor series at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor rank in Hepatology. This will be a joint, dually appointed position with the VA Northern California Health Care System (VANCHCS) based at Sacramento VA Medical Center, Mather, CA. 50% UC Davis Health and 50% VA Mather. Faculty in the Clinical X series is expected to engage in professional competence and activity, teaching, research and creative work, and University/public service. Faculty in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series are expected to engage in teaching, professional competence and activity, scholarly or creative activities, and University/public service. The position will provide general and transplant hepatology care and focus on education. Opportunities for clinical research including the conduct of clinical trials are available. Clinical responsibilities will include providing hepatology and liver transplant outpatient consultations and endoscopic procedures as well as sharing the inpatient Hepatology consultation service. Educational responsibilities will include supervision of consultations and procedures by fellows, residents, and medical students as well as providing lectures to various audiences. The salary ranges provided are based on full-time employment and will be prorated for any appointment less than 100% time. Clinical research within the division is supported by the GI Clinical Research Unit which includes 8 research coordinators and staff supporting over 50 studies. The division has a long-standing history of providing outstanding patient care and medical education.
