Position Summary

Manages the scheduling for Lincoln Finished Good Production to effectively and efficiently utilize manufacturing resources and ensuring continuity of product supply. Assumes a leading role in the management of drug product inventories within the site, as well as the finished products within the various distribution channels to assure inventory levels are consistent with the site's and markets' objectives. Functions as a direct liaison with external customers through direct communications and summits. Assist in the coordination of activities required for new product introductions.

Hours: 1st shift, 8-hour days, 5 days per week. Weekends and holidays may be needed to support the business.

Position Responsibilities

  • Develop and prepares the short-range production schedule of Finished Goods. Assures 100% feasibility of the first production scheduled week (Released materials, resources & capacity availability).
  • Monitor short range schedule adherence to ensure completion of required production orders. Developing reports to analyze and propose corrective actions to deviations.
  • Develops and prepares mid and long range Finished Good production plans. Communicating projected resource requirements and an efficient / feasible production model as required.
  • Management of inventories to ensure their availability to achieve production plans, minimize waste, and assure finished good supply is within the customers' requirements.
  • Partnering through continual communications with manufacturing, quality assurance, logistics, and external customers to assure alignment in objectives and goals.
  • Develop, prepare, and distribute Supply Exception reports: Stock out, shortages, and high inventory reports.
  • As a representative of the site, lead and coordinate required actions to alleviate supply shortages within the markets. Coordinate teams, meeting, and activities, as necessary.
  • Coordinate and assume leadership in maintaining efficient copy label change plans as required to assure compliance and minimization of waste.
  • Schedule and coordinate Bill of Material changes to ensure compliance.
  • Assists in the coordination and activities involved in new product introductions to a market.
  • Review market requests for supply changes; approving, rejecting, and or developing alternative plans.
  • Utilization of Operational Excellence Methodologies to identify and improve: product supply, inventory management, resource utilization, and or planning tools.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of associate degree in management, Business Administration, or related disciplines applicable to Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or Vaccine and Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Materials Management, and/or Marketing
  • Bachelor's degree in management, Business Administration, or related disciplines applicable to Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or Vaccine and Pharmaceutical Manufacturing preferred
  • Multi-lingual preferred

Technical Skills and Competencies Required

  • Strong knowledge and practical experience of production, inventory and planning systems such as: SAP, APO, RCCP, ECC, MRP, JDA (Manugistics), SCIM, DSS, ISS, DIMS, SIMS
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience in utilizing analytical tools, spreadsheets, and databases to develop reports for strategic planning and communication.
  • Proven ability to lead, synchronize and motivate colleagues to meet short- and long-term objectives.
  • Ability to conceptualize, analyze and implement new methodologies in support of improving customer service, inventory management, and business alignment.
  • Demonstrated ability to function and influence in a team matrix environment and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Right First Time and Lean Manufacturing concepts and principles preferred.
  • APICS training preferred.

Physical Position Requirement

The work conditions for the position are greater than 50% stationary with periodic standing and walking through out the workday(s). The colleague(s) may be required to travel and or work greater than 40 hours per week, including weekends and holidays to support the business.
