Senior Software Engineer, Technology Solutions

As a Senior Software Engineer supporting our Technology Solutions department, you will design, build, and support full-stack solutions critical to all aspects of our business, with an emphasis in supporting our Data and Technology modernization efforts including work with platforms like Databricks. This position will be responsible for areas of development including front-end web applications, back-end services and APIs, SQL Server-based application systems, and other commercial product integrations. As a senior member of the Technology Solutions department, you will also lead design and code reviews, and will support and mentor other team members. You will partner with members of NISA's business departments to understand requirements, and design and refine solutions.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a field requiring strong analytical and quantitative skills, such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or Information Systems
• Minimum of five years of experience developing and supporting enterprise-grade applications
• Experience developing with an object-oriented language, such as C# or Java
• Familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, and front-end frameworks
• Experience designing queries in SQL Server or another relational database platform
• Experience working with source control and automated testing frameworks
• Interest in working with modern technologies, including containerization, cloud-native solutions, etc.
• Experience designing and developing effective enterprise-grade solutions
• Experience developing cloud native solutions, preferably in AWS

Preferred:

• Previous professional experience in financial services sector
• Experience developing in a statistical language, such as Python, MATLAB, R
• Experience with Databricks, or similar platforms
• Experience with automation and CI/CD practices and tooling, such as GitHub Actions and Terraform
