Thank you for taking time to look at our job posting. We are a family owned child care center located in Broadview Heights and we are looking to add to our team! We are seeking candidates that have experience with the age group of 18 months and up to 3 years old in a early education type of daycare teaching Toddlers and Early Preschoolers! We are primarily looking for great people that wish to find a a job that feels like home. We are a well respected center in our community and our goal is to find people that match our culture. This position is for immediate hire into a Toddler classroom as an assistant to the lead teacher; the lead teacher of the classroom has 15+ years of experience including training.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible (along with a co-teacher) for the overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children in a classroom
  • Observes all rules and regulations of Primrose School of Broadview Heights and the local, state or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children.
  • Implementing potty training techniques
  • Implements the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule.
  • Maintains a positive relationship with parents
  • Gets children engaged in classroom activities by employing a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.)
  • Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence.

Desired skills and experience:

  • The ability to manage a classroom of up to 16 children with a fun, loving, positive attitude
  • Passionate about Early Childhood Education
  • Creative, Collaborative, Engaging and Nurturing
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children
