Position description The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of California Santa Barbara invites applications for a 100% time (40 hr/wk) Academic Coordinator I position for undergraduate instructional laboratory support. The Academic Coordinator serves in a key role for the successful operations of the instructional teaching laboratories. Responsibilities of this position will include accurate preparation of reagents, setup of experiments for all levels of undergraduate teaching labs, and monitoring teaching assistant performance. Additional qualifications (required at time of start) BA/BS required at time of hire. Preferred qualifications Demonstrated experience in accurate experiment preparation while following established standard operating procedures (SOPs). Demonstrated or potential to provide oversight to a diverse team of student employees. Familiar with laboratory safety protocols. Experience with biochemistry related lab techniques.
