Overview

The Department of Pediatrics of the University of Massachusetts Medical School invites applications for postdoctoral researcher positions. Our research focuses on epigenetic regulation of non-alcoholic fatty liver, and the development of AAV mediated gene therapy by utilizing the single-cell sequencing platform and state-of-art AAV approach. Applicants should have a Ph.D in biomedical sciences or an MD with post-graduate scientific training, and three to five years of research experience in the fields of molecular biology, biochemistry, oncology, and animal modeling. Applicants with a strong background and track record in high-throughput DNA and RNA Seq, single-cell sequencing, gene silencing and editing, and confocal microscopic analyses of tissue sections and image processing are highly preferred. Applicants must also work independently, coordinate multiple projects and activities concurrently. Strong writing, verbal, and interpersonal skills are required. Candidates should be highly organized, hard-working, and motivated to respond to the changes within the rapidly evolving field of gene therapy. We offer excellent benefits and a competitive salary depending on experiencing and tracking records.
