Media Planning & Strategy at MRM Media requires a blend of creativity, science, psychology, tech-savvy and innovation. We strategize how brands should communicate with people across the myriad of media channels, and how to do that differently from every other brand. This role will allow you to flex your media prowess in service of solving big brand and business challenges.

We are seeking an experienced SEO Director to lead our SEO strategy and initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of search engine algorithms, industry best practices, and a proven track record of driving organic traffic growth. The SEO Director will be responsible for developing and executing SEO strategies across multiple platforms to increase organic visibility, drive traffic, and improve user engagement.

Responsibilities

* Develop and implement SEO Strategies: Lead the development and execution of comprehensive SEO strategies for our client roster to increase organic search traffic, leads and revenue and improve search engine rankings.

* Keyword Research and Analysis: Conduct keyword research to identify high-value keywords and opportunities for content optimization. Analyze keyword trends and search volume to guide content creation efforts.

* On-page and Off-page Optimization: Oversee on-page optimization efforts, including meta tags, internal linking, and content optimization. Manage off-page optimization strategies, including link building, guest blogging, and outreach campaigns.

* Technical SEO: Manage technical SEO initiatives, including website audits, site speed optimization, mobile optimization, and structured data implementation. Must be able to create site migration and redesign strategies including URL mappings, redirects, link modifications, etc. to ensure that no organic rankings are lost. Collaborate with developers and IT teams to address technical SEO issues and improve site performance.

* Content Strategy: Develop and execute content strategies aligned with SEO goals. Collaborate with content creators to produce high-quality, SEO-friendly content that resonates with target audiences and drives organic traffic.

* Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor key SEO metrics, including organic traffic, keyword rankings, and conversion rates. Provide regular performance reports and insights to stakeholders, highlighting successes, areas for improvement, and actionable recommendations.

* Industry Trends: Keep abreast of industry trends, algorithm updates, and best practices in SEO. Identify emerging opportunities and technologies to enhance our SEO strategy and stay ahead of the competition.

* Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor a team of SEO specialists. Provide guidance, training, and support to help team members grow their skills and achieve departmental goals.

* SEM/PPC Collaboration: Collaborate with the Paid Search teams to ensure both paid and organic are aligned to give additional exposure to client's brand and URLs.

* Communication: Have the ability to communicate clearly, persuasively, and confidently to internal senior management and senior clients and deliver the message - whether it be a QBR or a new business pitch - with style, substance, and enthusiasm.

* Local SEO Optimization including the development and execution of local strategies that have optimized the client's online presence leading to an increase in local traffic, visibility, and brand awareness.

* International SEO Optimization including the development and execution of international SEO strategies that have optimized the client's websites and/or blogs to successfully enable search engines to identify countries to be reached or languages to be used. In addition, including collaboration with dev teams to implement said strategies.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.

* 8-10+ years of experience in SEO, with a proven track record of driving organic search growth.

* Deep understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and SEO best practices.

* Experience with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Moz, and Ahrefs. Also have experience with local tools, such as Google Business Profile for Local SEO.

* Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.

* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas and strategies clearly and persuasively.

* Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.

* Creative problem-solving abilities and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.

The salary range for this position is $125,000 - $190,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; the associated discipline; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee's/applicant's background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
