The Tax Partner is responsible for new business opportunities as well as servicing existing long standing clients in a compliance/consulting role. Involved in thought leadership opportunities, technology initiatives, as well as developing and mentoring tax colleagues.

Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Law or other related degree as approved is required.
  • Master's degree is preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
  • 15+ years of progressive tax experience is required.
  • 2+ years as a Partner or Director at a public accounting firm.
  • 10+ years or management or supervisory experience is required.
  • Significant experience in a public accounting or professional services environment is required.
  • Experience acquiring new clients and growing a book of business.
  • Strong analytical ability, critical thinking capacity, and diligently performs assigned tasks with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity.
  • Capable to communicate with a diverse group of individuals professionally, appropriately and effectively.
  • Ability to lead, build, and manage diverse teams for small, medium, and large-scale projects.
  • High degree of professionalism including the ability to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality.
  • Able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, innovative, and continuously changing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills in business and technical environments.
  • Computer literate with the capability of performing at an intermediate or advanced level with respect to the Microsoft Office Suite of products (specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel) or similar software applications.



Responsibilities



  • Perform partner level compliance review and tax return signoff.
  • Handle client consultations on planning opportunities and changes in tax law.
  • Working on proposals and assisting in developing new business.
  • Meeting prospective clients and developing relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Expanding services to existing clients.
  • Supervising engagements and special projects undertaken by the firm.
  • Overseeing all aspects of the client engagement.
  • Supervising, training and evaluating advanced level staff.
  • Coaching, mentoring and assisting staff so they can develop and assist in the growth of the tax function.
  • Maintaining exceptional technical knowledge of new tax issues and general business trends that affect the client.

Other Duties:



  • Provides courteous and prompt service to all internal and external parties. Prioritizes and addresses requests and assignments in a professional and cooperative manner.
  • Identifies opportunities and recommends methods to improve service, and work processes. Assists in the implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
  • May assist co-workers in the completion of tasks and assignments to ensure continuity of service and demonstrating team work skills. Actively supports teamwork throughout the organization.
  • Perform other services as assigned.


Other Considerations:



  • May periodically travel and work from different company locations.
  • May be required to work overtime, and/or on weekends as needed.
  • Must arrive at EisnerAmper offices or client locations in a timely manner and be ready to perform job responsibilities.
