Duties

Duties:

Extensive Knowledge & Experience in CON Specialty Area(s): Convey extensive contracting knowledge and experience in requirement areas which may include but not limited to:


  • Supplies and Services
  • Research and Development
  • Major Systems Acquisition
  • Operational Contracting
  • Construction
  • Logistics and Sustainment
  • Contingency
  • Software Development and Procurement


Convey the competencies and skills required for:

  • Soliciting, evaluating, negotiating and awarding contracts.
  • Administering contracts by assuring compliance with the terms and conditions including resolution of problems (modifications, options, changes, contractor performance and surveillance, data rights).
  • Terminating contracts by analyzing, negotiating and settling claims and proposals.
  • Analyzing and evaluating cost or price proposals and accounting system data.
  • Planning, establishing, or reviewing contracts, programs, policies, or procedures.
  • Formulating and administering policies and procedures to ensure achievement of Federal socioeconomic goals such as those affecting small business, labor surplus areas and disadvantaged business firms.
  • Developing acquisition strategies and directing or managing procurements Imparts knowledge of contract methods (formal advertising and negotiation) and types (fixed price, cost reimbursement, special purpose, and agreements), and the understanding and application of the Federal and Defense Acquisition Regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Teaching and Curriculum Development Duties:

  • Imparts knowledge of contract methods (formal advertising and negotiation) and types (fixed price, cost reimbursement, special purpose, and agreements), and the understanding and application of the Federal and Defense Acquisition Regulations.
  • Creates and/or delivers learning assets and content as needed, and coordinates with partner divisions that manage related curriculum, or that control processes and tools.
  • Stays abreast of changes and trends in primary functional area, continuously researching, gaining and sharing knowledge in federal communities of practice.


Collaboration Duties:

  • Serves as a thinking partner with stakeholders and customers, continuously improving product and service delivery to provide the right knowledge and service the point of need through synchronous and asynchronous methods.
  • Builds relationships and collaborates with peers and program management leaders from all organizations within the area of responsibility.
  • Elicits feedback to shape the policies, processes and procedures that produce a frictionless experience for the customers and stakeholders.


Digital Fluency Duties:

  • Pursues and maintains digital and data analysis fluency that aligns with and primary functional area best practices in public and private industry.
  • Maintains currency in, and actively uses university technology, digital and social media platforms.
  • Focus on the needs of the customer in a modern learning and business environment that is subject to continual change with respect to platforms, networks and delivery.
