Job Description We are currently hiring a Product Development Co-Op at our Samuel Adams Brewery in Pennsylvania. This position is from July-December 2024. This position is responsible for assisting the Research Brewery in the execution of trial work and all brewing activity associated with it. As instructed by the Research Brewer, responsibilities include, but are not limited to, daily execution of all brewing functions, monitoring brewing quality, and ensuring safe and sanitary working conditions at all times. What You'll Brew: Gather, weigh, and process raw ingredients per recipe specifications Monitor yeast health via daily cell counts Cleaning & sanitation of fermentation tanks Pull and package samples for quality and sensory analysis Clean / fill kegs and support CIP and sanitation for the keg filler Collect and compile data for trial work and special projects Design and complete term project per review of Research Brewer Promote high product quality achievement within a professional work environment Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices and overall brewery sanitation and safety What Ingredients You'll Bring: Minimum Qualifications: Must be a student currently enrolled in following Undergraduate Majors: Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, Chemical Engineering are highly recommended.
