General Information:

Start your career and become a valuable part of the JMU community! James Madison University's Facilities Management is accepting applications for a Vehicle Services Attendant for the Transportation Department. This is typically a weekday daylight position but flexibility in scheduling and some weekend work is required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Assist customers with pre and post inspections
- Help with cleaning interior and exterior of all motor pool vehicles
- Perform routine inspections of motor pool vehicles to include refueling, driving vehicles, and post trip safety checks during vehicle cleaning
- Prepare returning vehicles to available status
- Perform visual inspections of vehicles for damage and collect and process vehicle data

Qualifications:

Competitive candidates must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment with great attention to detail while meeting deadlines

Candidates must possess strong customer service and communication skills

Candidate must be at least 19 years old with a valid driver's license and have and have had a valid driver's license for a total of 24 months at the time of hire

Conditions of Employment:

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check and an acceptable MVR.

This is a part-time wage position working up to an average of 29 hours per week over the course of a calendar year with no benefits.
