For a limited time MaineHealth is offering up to $10,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible Social Workers!



  • Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time Social Worker position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
  • Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 3 months separation from employment.


~ 32-40 Hours/week (flexible), Full-time, Monday - Friday, Day shift ~

Maine state licensure to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) is required

  • Daily huddles help provide team ownership of patients amongst Social Workers, Counselors, Nurses, Medical Assistants, Case Managers, Psychiatrists and Advanced Practice Providers

  • Flexible options for hour; with options for 32-40 hour a week schedules, split into 10 or 8 hour days. Part-time schedules below 32 hours will also be considered.


Position Summary:



  • Daily collaboration with team members to assist in care plans for patients
  • Conducting and documenting individual and family psychosocial assessments; providing treatment utilizing evidence based practices
  • Providing patient care coordination through contact with community resources and providing comprehensive discharge planning services.
  • A caring and empathetic member of our team, able to provide services in a manner and language appropriate to the age and comprehensive level of the diverse clients and their families.


Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)



  1. Education: Master's degree in Social Work from an institution accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
  2. License/Certifications: Maine State licensure to practice as a LCSW is required. Maine State licensure to practice as a LADC and CADC as needed. Valid drivers license and reliable transportation if applicable.
  3. Experience: 2+ years of related work experience in a health or mental health setting preferred; depending on client population to be serviced, desired work experience may vary. Prior experience with clinical methods and techniques used in individual, family and group therapy as related to mental health and/or substance abuse issues is required.
  4. Knowledge of social work/ counseling theories, therapies and techniques, as used in individual, family and group treatment, as well as principles of social welfare are required
