UX/UI Designer

Key Role:
Apply a human-centered design approach to solve problems. Invent and simplify complex systems while focusing on visual design. Turn ideas from research into sketches and interactive prototypes and test them with end users. Help teams raise the bar on customer experiences and thrive in ambiguity. Balance creative and innovative solutions with solid leadership and mentoring skills. Work with other designers and the development team to successfully translate business objectives and customer needs into innovative and best-in-class, customer-centric solutions. Work with design systems, framework constraints, and CMS and CRM tools, such as Salesforce. Adapt process and act consultatively with stakeholders and product teams. Work across multiple projects. Assist with the development and rollout of the company's practices and partner with other Change Management and User Experience professionals for internal consulting.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with visual design, such as UI design, typography, or Figma

  • Experience with handling projects in an Agile, fast-paced environment and collaborating with multi-functional teams and subject matter experts

  • Experience with web accessibility standards and developing websites according to Section 508 of the US Rehabilitation Act and the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI)

  • Ability to conduct user research, user interviews, design sprints, and usability tests, and analyze and present results, personas, customer journeys, design thinking, and ideation

  • Ability to go deep on user insights and product analytics to identify unseen opportunities that drive product and experience innovation in healthcare, run design sprints in-person and remotely, and deliver site maps, process flows, workflows, journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, high fidelity mockups, and detailed UI and visual design specifications, including redlines, for web interfaces

  • Ability to present a portfolio that demonstrates systematic and creative design thinking and UX/UI best practices

  • Ability to perform post-launch metrics analysis to inform the future strategy and design/UX optimization clients for review and feedback

  • Ability to mentor others, evangelize and lead the UX vision, and create a curriculum for training efforts

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

  • Associate's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with Salesforce platform and Lightning Design System

  • Experience with Clinical or Health Information Technology

  • Experience working with Federal agencies

  • Knowledge of Data Visualization

  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and responsive design

  • Bachelor's degree

  • UX certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,700.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
