POSITION SUMMARY:

Ivy Street School is seeking a Chief Clinical Officer (CCO). Ivy Street School is a therapeutic 766 Day and Residential School that serves 50 students ages 13-22 with Neurodevelopmental Disorders, Neurological Disorders and Behavioral Health Challenges. The CCO will guide program assessment, development, implementation and monitoring that is aligned with evidence-based clinical frameworks across the residential and education departments.

We are seeking candidates with a social work or related background and at least 5 years of experience working in residential-educational programs or in a similar milieu. Candidates must also have experience supporting neurodiverse young people who manage mental health challenges and who are working on developing skills in the areas of self-regulation, coping and independent living. This position is a leadership role that includes student and family facing work as well as staff supervision and coaching. The CCO is a thought leader and expert in therapeutic approaches for neurodiverse students and collaborates with the senior leadership team at Ivy Street School to guide and direct our program. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 40 hours, with at least 2 days per week to include late afternoon and early evening hours.

The Chief Clinical Officer is responsible for:

· Guiding program assessment, program development, implementation of new approaches and program monitoring that is aligned with evidence-based clinical frameworks across all departments.

· Ensuring that clinical frameworks are being utilized effectively and consistently across the day and residential programs and in all departments.

· Providing support, supervision and coaching to leadership and our direct care team related to treatment frameworks and implementation of best practice to drive exceptional outcomes.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Vision Development & Program Design

· Responsible for ensuring the Ivy Street School vision and treatment approaches are clearly communicated, understood and woven throughout all aspects of programming and professional development opportunities.

· Monitors the effectiveness and efficacy of the PBIS and ARC Model of treatment within the therapeutic milieu and across all programs and departments.

· Helps build the leadership and infrastructure to realize gold standard model in trauma-informed care and restorative/positive behavior interventions.

· Collaborates with leadership team to support the implementation of professional learning opportunities for department heads and all staff with an emphasis on integrating best practices in treatment into the therapeutic milieu.

· Collaborates with leadership team to design family-centered programing, training and systems of support.

Leadership & Team Development

· Works in collaboration with all department heads to ensure their teams have a coherent vision, goals, system of data collection/monitoring in order to improve student/staff outcomes that is in line with Ivy Street School’s treatment approach and mission

· Provides direct supervision and oversite of the Director of Clinical Operations, Residential Program leaders and clinical staff.

· In collaboration with Administrator on Duty team, monitors Administrator on Duty process for effectiveness and patterns.

· Provides direct assessment and coaching to direct care staff in collaboration with their leadership to ensure their approach and responses are aligned with Ivy Street’s treatment frameworks and vision.

Treatment Efficacy & Outcomes

· Monitors the implementation of treatment for all students from a trauma-informed, strengths-based lens which maintains an emphasis on student-centered vision development, cultural humility and supporting a safe, inclusive environment for students to explore and develop their identity.

· In collaboration with the leadership team, develops a vision, goals, objectives, data collection and monitoring strategies to improve outcomes for students and families being served.

· Responsible for ensuring department heads are held accountable to the maintenance of data collection to support treatment efficacy across areas of programming.

· Collaborates with admissions team to assess referral appropriateness

QUALIFICATIONS

o Master’s Degree in Social Work or Related Field, 5+ years’ experience in a supervisory role

o Familiarity with and commitment to the Disability Justice Framework

o Specific experience in a residential-educational setting or comparable setting

o Specific experience working with neurodivergent youth and their families

o Expertise in Trauma-Informed Care

o Experience and comfort with public speaking

o Certifications in First Aid, CPR, CPI (Ivy Street School can provide these trainings)

o Driver’s license
