Role Summary:

The Analyst II role exists generally in the Financial Reporting and Shared Service functions. The role focuses on complex and advanced processing, research & analysis, reporting, and cross functional support across the accounting teams and on an inter-departmental basis.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include:



  • Financial Reporting Preparation. Assisting with quarterly and annual financial statements, as well as standalone financial statements of joint ventures
  • Financial Information. Obtaining, reviewing and compiling support for financial information within the quarterly and annual financial reports and other private-company reports.
  • Executing and following appropriate accounting principles, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal controls, GAAP, FERC and other applicable regulatory policies and standards.
  • Processes and Procedures. Analysis of current processes to develop and implement improved efficiencies and analytics as deemed necessary.
  • Monthly Analyses. Analyze various general ledger accounts on a regular basis.
  • Cross-functional support. Participate in special projects and support other accounting functions as needed.
  • Audit Support. Prepare or provide supporting schedules for external and internal auditors as assigned.
  • Internal Communication. Working and communicating with various internal groups, including general accounting, segment accounting groups, shared services, and financial planning.
  • Assist supervisors with complex research and issue resolution.
  • Provide guidance, support and training to less experience Analysts.
  • And other duties as assigned.



Position Requirements:




  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related discipline required.



  • 3-5 years of experience in an Auditing, Accounting or Financial Reporting role.



  • Big 4 Audit Firm experience is preferred.



  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word applications.



  • Travel requirements are limited in this role.



  • Experience with Workiva is preferred but not required.



  • Experience with OneStream is preferred by not required.





Certificates & Licenses:




  • CPA or working towards CPA.
