Clinic Research Analyst - ADRC (CLIN RSCH ANL 4)

This position will provide programmatic support to the NIH-funded, multi-site research study "Diverse Vascular Contributions to Cognitive Impairment and Dementia (DVCID)" which aims to better understand how vascular health and abnormal white matter signals in the brain affect thinking. Under the Clinical Research Supervisor's supervision, this position will serve as the clinical research analyst for the study and will assist in resolving operational aspects of the project including multi-site activation, analysis, communication, contract interpretation, records maintenance, retrieval and analysis, training staff to administer project from their respective sites, track financial activities for each site and more. Incumbent will maintain DVCID Researcher Portal with resource documents for the research staff, assist in the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in accordance with good clinical practice and regulations. Assist in conducting quality control procedures of databases. Assist with the scheduling and hosting of ancillary committee meetings, coordinating with committee members and presenters, taking committee meeting notes, and providing copies upon request.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
  • Demonstrated experience successfully working with public, teams, and independently.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience with budgets, accounts payable, financial reports. Proven ability to perform all commonly applicable functions in word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite Applications (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with teleconferencing and use of Zoom, MS Teams, Webex.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbally.
  • Able to multi-task and be adaptable to changing demands.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Adaptable to quickly changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with multi-site and complex projects.
  • Experience with human subject's research.
  • Experience in work environments with subject confidentiality/HIPAA regulations.
  • Experience working in an academic environment.
  • Experience with UC Davis administrative system.
  • Experience working in a complex public organization.

Department Description

The UC Davis Department of Neurology conducts clinical research and provides diagnosis and treatment for adults and children with a variety of neurological disorders, such as Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia, epilepsy, movement disorders including Parkinson's and Huntington's diseases, tremor, dystonia, multiple sclerosis, neuromuscular conditions, headache, and sleep disorders.

Work Environment

  • Local and out-of-state travel may be required to attend research meetings and educational and community events.
