The individual will partner with multiple teams and consider a multitude of economic data-points to find the right equilibrium of demand and supply for our hall-mark product lines. The role requires advanced expertise in key macroeconomic and microeconomic theories, including a robust grasp of price elasticity. For international pricing decisions, the Product Economics Manager closely monitors the actions of central banks, notably the US Federal Reserve, analyzing their impact on foreign currency valuations and interest rates. Key Qualifications
Description - Conduct rigorous economic analysis utilizing techniques such as economic regression analysis to inform strategic decision-making processes for Apple's Mac portfolio across multiple countries and economic environments - Integrate macroeconomic and microeconomic theories, including concepts such as price elasticity, into product strategy development and pricing decisions - Monitor and analyze the actions of central banks, particularly the US Federal Reserve, to assess their impacts on currency valuations, interest rates, and international market trends. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop pricing strategies that optimize revenue and market competitiveness across diverse international markets. - Utilize econometric models to assess the impact of independent and correlated variables on product demand and pricing elasticity - Provide strategic guidance on currency hedging strategies to mitigate risks associated with foreign exchange fluctuations - Drive continuous improvement in economic analysis methodologies and processes, incorporating feedback from market analysis and competitive benchmarking - Apply advanced economic analysis techniques to identify and assess disparate economic value drivers across various markets - Be a player-coach and mentor interns, new Analysts on the team with undergraduate Economics degrees Education & Experience Advanced degree in Economics or a related quantitative field, with a focus on economic analysis.
