We are seeking a highly experienced Strategic Planning Program Manager who will be responsible for driving the server and networking planning and delivery process. You'll be aggregating demand and managing supply health in order to successfully deploy hardware that Apple's Internet Services applications rely on to scale. Key Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in business planning, operations, supply chain, or related fields
  • Strong verbal/written skills with an ability to distill sophisticated ideas into concise, high impact communications
  • Experience presenting to senior leadership, up to and including VP level
  • Able to lead through ambiguity and respond quickly to new requirements and data in a highly dynamic environment
  • Consistent track record in building and launching operations foundations from the ground up
  • Expert in Microsoft Excel with extensive modeling experience, including building scalable models from scratch
  • Tried multi-functional program management skills with an ability to rapidly develop a solid understanding in new areas quickly
  • Experience collaborating with engineering, finance, product operations, procurement, and OEM/ODMs to drive decisions
  • Deep understanding of various cloud architectures (e.g. micro-services vs monolithic) and associated operations models
  • Able to influence in a multi-functional matrix organization
  • Self starter mentality with a strong leadership drive


Description

In this position, we drive the planning process for Apple-designed servers and networking to support Apple's applications, including customer-facing ones like iCloud, Apple Pay and AMP, as well as internal applications provided by IS&T. This small team is dedicated to building out the Internet Services supply chain, ensuring scalability as the hardware complexity and product demands grow. You'll work with multi-functional business partners to aggregate capacity or demand, operations to complete your supply plan, engineering to ensure the right SKUs are built, and Data Center Operations to handover for deployment. In this role, you will: Own, define and build the entire suite of reporting for infrastructure requirements, which will drive actionable insights on planning, ordering and deployment Propose strategies on how to optimize the planning and delivery of those infrastructure requirements, including buffer assessment, inventory management and liability management Work with managers and directors to review requirements, schedules and analyses in order to acquire approval for procuring and deploying new server and network hardware Manage risks, schedules, and partners to successfully launch infrastructure programs supporting a wide array of Apple services Regularly present to leadership (managers, directors and VP) Build and drive process implementation and new tool development

Education & Experience

BA/BS degree in business, operations, finance, engineering, or a related field required MBA from top tier school preferred
