The Opportunity: Establish and maintain procedures and techniques for Quality Assurance Activities. Assist in the coordination of manufacturing and engineering and confers with customers to define and resolve product quality issues. Interact with Leadership to advise necessary continuous improvement efforts so that systems and processes are in line with overall company strategy and quality policy. Provide technical input and implement process and documentation changes. Manages a team of entry/intermediate professionals or Supervisors with a focus on setting objectives, plans and tactics with direct impact on the immediate or short-term operational results of the department.Avantor is looking for a dedicated and passionate senior leader to manage our Manufacturing Quality organization, advocating for customers and collaborating with internal and external partners to achieve business and operational metric success. You will have the opportunity to lead continuous improvement activities to achieve a compliant, effective, and efficient Quality Management System. The position scope includes all elements of the Quality Management System, Quality Assurance, and the Quality Control Laboratory throughout the product lifecycle. This role will be a full-time position based out of our Phillipsburg, New Jersey site with ~10% travel to our Bridgewater, NJ site. The team Avantor's Quality team is part of our Quality Assurance business unit. Organizational Relationships/Scope: The Manager reports directly to the Senior Director of Quality, Chemical Manufacturing Americas and directly manages the Quality team and System at the Bridgewater, NJ and Phillipsburg, NJ facilities. Depending on the facility, this individual will manage a group including collective bargaining unit team members. The Manager has routine customer interaction and works with employees of various levels both internally and externally. This individual works closely with manufacturing. ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT(Under Typical Positions) Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range oftemperature and noise level. Work assignments are diversified. Examples of past precedent are used to resolve work problems. New alternatives may be developed to resolve problems. A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on routine basis. Minimal physical effort is required. Pay Transparency: The expected pre-tax pay for this position is $117,000.00 - $195,000.00Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
