The Opportunity

The Levi Strauss Foundation is looking to add an enthusiastic and proactive team member to serve as Foundation Liaison and Learning Manager (FLLM).

An integral member of the LSF team, the FLLM will develop and implement learning and stakeholder relations strategies that support the foundation's work.

The FLLM will collaborate with the foundation's dynamic team to advance LSF's philanthropic activities in social justice and create opportunities that amplify the work of the foundation's grantee partners. In addition, they will partner with LS&Co.'s communications team and other parts of the company to align messages and communications opportunities. The FLLM will coordinate learning efforts to inform the foundation's approach and strategies and manage internal and external relationships with key stakeholders.

The position reports to the Executive Director and will be based in Levi's Plaza, San Francisco.

Key Responsibilities

  • In partnership with the Director of Programs, support a range of learning and evaluation functions including conducting literature reviews and field scans; synthesizing findings in writing and through data visualizations; facilitating conversations with the program team and other stakeholders to make meaning of grants data.
  • Stay abreast of evaluation and learning trends and best practices, especially those in philanthropy and social justice.
  • Support the planning and coordination of meetings and other opportunities for learning and collaboration with internal and external partners.
  • Coordinate LSF board meetings and other key meetings; provide regular updates to LSF board.
  • Collaborate with the LSF team and LS&Co.'s communications team to promote the foundation's goals through creative communications.
  • Coordinate LSF's participation in LS&Co.'s new employee orientation, employee volunteer opportunities, town halls, and other activities.
  • Identify and create opportunities for partnerships and collaborations that advance LSF's goals.
  • Contribute to LS&Co.'s culture.Actively participate in training; diversity, equity, and inclusion workshops; and other activities that positively contribute to LS&Co.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Experiences and Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in managing learning and evaluation for an organization.
  • Deep and demonstrated commitment to equity and social justice, and strong alignment with the Levi Strauss Foundation's organizational values of originality, integrity, empathy, and courage.
  • Excellent writing, copy editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Innovative, creative, and critical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with an adaptable nature to work with a variety of partners and stakeholders.
  • Experience and skill in executing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • High degree of initiative and entrepreneurial spirit. Eagerness to learn and grow within the position.
  • Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

    The expected starting salary range for this role is $90,000 to $115,000 We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance and business needs.
