This job is critical to the operation of our Human Resources team because it is the entry point for all personnel changes in our
HRIS system, including new hires, job changes, terminations, etc. The selected individual will further our team's commitment to administrative excellence by thoroughly researching, reviewing, scanning, indexing, verifying, inputting, auditing, and retaining employee records for all Auburn University employees, ensuring policies, procedures, and federal and state guidelines related to employee records are followed.

Essential Functions |
What You'll Do:
- Assist with the review, research, input, and audit of employee records and ensure accurate information.
- Ensure the accuracy of information prior to entry by researching and documenting corrections.
- Review, research, confirm accuracy, and process electronic personnel actions (ePAF).
- Perform scanning of records, indexing, verifying, and retaining of documents in web-based filing system.
- Assist with the review of I-9 and tax compliance records to ensure correct information.
- Work closely with payroll, employment services, compensation, employee relations and other HR teams to resolve issues.
- Assist with reviewing scripts to correct records.
- Electronically retrieve employee job record documentation through systems and email to support actions for employee records to meet state auditor requirements.
- Inactivate employee records.
- Submits and researches errors to successfully meet deadlines of state reporting requirements to remain compliant.
- Assists with tracking and documenting errors on HR records.

What We Need From You:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience working in an office setting that includes data analysis and reviewing records.
- A degree may substitute for years of experience.

Minimum Skills and Abilities |
Minimum qualifications include the ability to communicate effectively with strong interpersonal skills and to provide timely and excellent customer service. In addition, the ability to organize a large array of documents while meeting strict deadlines. Furthermore, the ability to practice and ensure confidentiality of records is essential. |

Previous experience working in an office environment handling records; experience in data entry of a high volume of records; and general knowledge of record retention guidelines. |
