Job Summary |
The
College of Architecture, Design and Construction (
CADC) seeks applicants for a
Transfer Coordinator in our Office of Student Services. This position will report to the
CADC Director of Student and support the college's growing enrollment and increasing complexity of transferring coursework. This position will contribute to a seamless transfer experience by developing and implementing effective advising processes, managing administrative program support, and coordinating events. The successful candidate will be a student advocate, ensuring clear communication and exceptional service throughout the transfer journey.
About the CADC: The
CADC is comprised of three schools: School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture, the McWhorter School of Building Science; and the School of Industrial Graphic Design. These academic units offer undergraduate and graduate degree programs that are consistently recognized nationally and internationally for their academic excellence and innovations in the fields of design, construction, and related education. Essential Functions |
- Advises students and maintains all records related to students advised. The focus will be on transfer students and the initial connection with these students before they matriculate to Auburn.
- Assist in the planning, design, developing, and execution of academic advising services. The position will develop formal processes for dealing with transfer students, who are typically not on campus, in each of the CADC majors.
- Coordinates a variety of administrative program support responsibilities including but not limited to, room reservations, registration for programs, communication efforts, electronic filing, evaluating programs, and processing documents as needed. Specific areas include assisting with transfer student registration, managing all communication with transfer students, and seeking feedback on all work with transfer students.
- Provides and ensures excellent service and problem resolution to promote the program in a positive image. Maintains positive working relationships across campus and within the community. The position will work with Auburn's Transfer and Pathway Center.
- May prepare, review, and edit an assortment of communications in partnership with CADC Communications Department.
- Organizes and coordinates event logistics for special functions. This position will manage our transfer event functions and coordinate the same.
- May perform a variety of clerical duties which may include electronic filing, recordkeeping, data entry, processing forms, calendars and scheduling, mail distribution, expense vouchers, or other support duties.

- High school diploma or equivalent with 4 years experience advising students in a higher education setting.
Typical salaries will fall between $37, 867 - $42,333 Full grade range $33,400 - $46,800 |
