Job Summary

CenterPoint Energy is looking for an Associate Transportation Services Analyst to join our GO Gas Transportation Services Administration Team, located in Houston, TX.

You will have the ability to: conduct studies on the impact of internal and external factors on the profitability of the transportation services program. Conducts all activities necessary to ensure a transportation services operating environment that contains superior internal controls, efficient processes, producing, informational reporting and fully adhering to all Company policies and procedures.

Essential Functions

  • Conducts ad hoc, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual transportation services reporting.
  • Assists in the development, implementation, refinement, and maintenance of effective internal controls that ensure full compliance with all Company policies and procedures as a continuous process, and effective "common" processes across all transportation services territories to insure efficient, low-cost service.
  • Interfaces with Gas Supply, Volume Administration, Customer Billing, Regulatory/Rate departments to ensure the accurate and timely production of all required information necessary to complete the entire Transportation Services process.
  • Collaborates with experienced peers on SAP subject matter and resources for the Transportation Services department and the Gas Supply Organization.
  • Collaborates with experienced peers to support development of new business processes and improvements of current business processes within the Transportation Services department and the Gas Supply organization.

Education Description

  • Requires an associate degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, or related field. In lieu of a degree four (4) years of relevant work experience. Every two years (2) of experience is equivalent to one (1) year of education; in addition to the required years of experience.

Experience

  • Requires zero - two (0-2) years of prior work experience.
