1422684 - Senior Director, Accounting

This position is responsible for the global management and execution of the Cisco's Consolidation, Acquisition Accounting, and Americas Controllership functions, including all activities in the areas of: leading global close process, acquisition integration, and governance over all Americas legal entities. This role also requires leadership and accountability for the development and implementation of global, cross-functional, and critical initiatives.

You will work with cross functional leadership including Finance, Legal, P&C, Engineering & Sales.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership over the global consolidation, acquisition accounting, and Americas controllership functions to include: accounting and operational quality and efficiency improvements in execution and improving financial close management
• Partner with the Cisco IT organization and Finance Transformation Office (FTO) on the companywide transformational and Finance roadmaps, and partnering across the Global Accounting & Reporting (GAR) team on these projects
• Design, improve and advise on best practices for accounting processes and controls across different functional areas
• Develop and regularly review strategic initiatives, structural and operational capabilities, operating policies, processes and business metrics consistent with GAR's objectives, and ensuring their implementation on a global basis
• Ensure all necessary business and compliance controls are implemented, managed and documented
• Management of the team budget
• Career development of key resources with a focus on leadership and technical skills.

• Acquisition integration experience
• Strong internal controls and compliance experience in a global operations environment

• CPA designation.
• Minimum 10 years working with Oracle and related tools
• Minimum 15 years of experience in finance or accounting
