Job Description

As Director in VCS North America B2B Product, you will be a part of the wider VCS North America Product team, which is responsible for providing payment and value-added services products to our financial institution and FinTech clients across both the United States and Canada. In this role, you will be responsible for driving Visa's B2B product strategy in North America.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the product strategy and go-to-market execution of Visa's B2B products in the US and Canada markets.
  • Understand the needs of North America middle market and large market clients - economic drivers, competitive dynamics of the Commercial Credit card market.
  • Drive product innovation and digital transformation, developing and prioritizing product functionality / features to enhance the value proposition of Visa's virtual card and expense management products.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand usage and issuance of Visa's virtual card assets in the US and Canada markets.
  • Serve as subject matter expert and product lead for Visa's B2B products in the US and Canada with issuing clients, FinTech clients, and other partners.
  • Apply decision-making strategy to determine if client-supplied feedback (from Issuers or Data Providers) warrants adjustments to Regional roadmap prioritization.

Secondary Job Responsibilities:

  • The candidate will interact with various stakeholders across the organization as well as with external clients and will have close working relationship with our Global Commercial Product organization.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills are required as cross-functional projects occur on a regular basis.
  • Strong ability to develop and present a story to internal and external stakeholders and Commercial products and solutions.
  • Must demonstrate well-developed interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Collaborates easily and successfully with varying levels of stakeholders and management in a matrix organization structure.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

* 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

* Proven experience in launching new solutions and solving business problems for client entities

* Experienced with online and digital products that support Commercial Cards, ACH, Real-Time Payments, Cross-Border Payments and/or other emerging payments rails

* Proven experience in all aspects of product management and the ability to lead strategic to tactical discussions as well as bridge business and technical teams

Preferred Qualifications

* 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD

* Deep understanding of payment systems (card networks, ACH, RTP, digital wallets)

* Experience with payment network, banks, payment processors or financial technology software providers is a plus

* Effective communication skills, storytelling, strong presentation skills, executive presence, and ability to explain complex business and technical concepts to broad audiences and C-suite individuals in an engaging way

* Detail oriented and highly execution focused by working in conjunction with various counterparts across multiple functional groups

* Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work internally across business, technology, and delivery teams, and externally with clients and other stakeholders

* Ability to quickly learn about the internal Visa solutions, processes, culture, leadership principles and how it all works together and embrace changes in an ecosystem that is rapidly evolving

* Ability to manage, and coordinate across complex cross-functional teams including technical and non-technical resources

* Strong results-oriented contributor, analytic and fact-based consultative discipline demonstrating a growth mindset

* Adds value to customers by insightful and thoughtful questioning, offering new ideas, and delivering solutions

* Team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
