What you will be doing

The Project Manager I is responsible for participating in the planning, coordination, and execution of non-technical business initiatives to ensure that goals and objectives of projects and deliverables are accomplished within specified timeframes and funding parameters. This individual will work with cross functional teams to manage a variety of projects and participate in the execution of project activities of low to medium complexity. Responsible for supporting company/project objectives and goals, as well as the coordination of all internal and external resources. Participates in continuous improvement of project management methodology. May define and oversee Project Coordinator task delivery.

  • Coordinates tasks and assignments which fosters successful project delivery, on time and on budget
  • Ensures trends and inconsistencies in project goals/objectives are clearly identified and impacts to resources, processes and technologies are documented and actioned, as appropriate
  • Promotes and fosters collaboration between key stakeholders, team members and/or vendors to ensure business objectives are met
  • Works closely with project stakeholders to identify and document risks and issues; ensures risk owners determine appropriate strategies to minimize probabilities and/or impacts
  • Actively engages with project sponsors and stakeholders to develop appropriate communication channels; escalates when needed to influence key project decisions
  • Effectively and consistently analyzes ambiguous or difficult situations to bring stakeholders to a unified resolution
  • Actively builds a network of strong stakeholder relationships in order to effectively provide resource recommendations and guidance for future assignments
  • Executes projects utilizing foundational project management methodologies; participates in training opportunities to develop new skills and concepts to continue to improve project management and execution
  • Utilizes internal resources to better understand how assigned projects align with the company mission, vision, purpose, and objectives
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
What your background should look like

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Normally requires 3 years of broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a bachelor's degree program; requires a minimum of three (3) years related and progressively responsible experience directly or indirectly in the field of project management. CAPM, PMP certification or active pursuit of PMP certification or related higher education learning preferred. Experience in Healthcare or Supply Chain industry preferred.

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Self-motivated, detail oriented, and team player
  • Strong presentation and communication skill
  • Demonstrated professional and effective interpersonal skills
  • Experience in healthcare preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Planview, Microsoft Project or similar project planning software
  • Strong computer skills in order to operate with company systems and programs; knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Overnight travel as required

$70,400 - 100,760

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
