Working Title: Oupatient Lead Pharmacist Cost Center: Retail OP Pharmacy (427173) Bargaining Unit: UPTE FLSA: Exempt Date Created: 5/17/2024 Job Code: 004855 Hours: 40 Shift: Full-Time/Days FTE: 1 Position Summary: The Lead Pharmacist in the Outpatient Pharmacy Setting is responsible for leading and directing the Outpatient Specialty Pharmacy (OSP) operations to support the safe and effective management of outpatient pharmacy medication therapies. The Lead Pharmacist coordinates labor to support area service lines, including the Meds to Beds Program, Patient Immunizations and Travel Clinic, HIV/PEP/PreP clinic, and retail pharmacy services. This role is responsible for drug inventory management, tracking, and coordination to ensure compliance with the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA), State, and Federal Laws. Salary Range: Annual Rate Minimum $123,500.00 Midpoint $182,700.00 Maximum $241,900.00 Required Qualifications: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System Current BLS or ACLS certification Must demonstrate customer service and teamwork skills appropriate to the job Demonstrate clear, concise verbal and written communication skills Minimum four years of experience as a licensed pharmacist in a retail or community pharmacy setting, or two years' experience & completion of a PGY-1 Residency Demonstrated experience developing efficient workflows, programs, policies and standard operating procedures Demonstrated experience monitoring quality and efficiency utilizing metrics Demonstrated experience providing oversite, training, and development for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians Knowledge and experience with the 340B drug pricing program Excellent planning, organization and time management skills Graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree CA Board of Pharmacy Registered Pharmacist licensure in good standing Preferred Qualifications: An advanced administrative degree (M.S., M.H.A., M.P.H., M.B.A.) Experience in a retail Specialty Pharmacy and/or experience with a "Meds to Beds" discharge prescription program Knowledge and experience with URAC and/or ACHC requirements Knowledge and use of EPIC WAM retail software Conditions of Employment: The University of California, Irvine (UCI) seeks to provide a safe and healthy environment for the entire UCI community.
