Account Manager-Industrial Controls

Intralox, L.L.C., a division of Laitram, L.L.C., and a global provider of conveyance solutions and services, has a position available for an Account Manager-Industrial Controls. In this role the qualified individual will be a part of the Intralox Baltimore (IBA) Supply Chain Team to play a hybrid role of manufacturing specialist and relationship manager. This position will be in the Hanover, MD office reporting to the Supply Chain Supervisor.

The Account Manager-Industrial Controls must have familiarity with Industry standards with a variety of the field concepts, best practices, and procedures. Candidate will be expected to use experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, perform a variety of complicated tasks, and have a wide degree of creativity.

Responsibilities:
*Discuss and comprehend technical topics on both electrical and mechanical components with both internal product development teams and external vendors.
*Execute extensive review of all electrical components; from review selects primary, secondary, and tertiary electrical component options. Options will be inputted into IBA's Product Lifecyle Management software.
*Thoroughly understand the electrical component supplier pool ensuring suppliers are positioned for success given IBA's supply demand.
*Manage vendor relationships from qualification through development and continuous improvement.
*Co-lead new product development amongst internal stakeholders and suppliers.
*Coordinate supplier management tasks inclusive of working with suppliers and internal employees.
*Build long-term relationships by providing value, opportunities for growth, customer acquisition, and brand-building for multiple vendors.
*Increase vendor participation through deep knowledge of program opportunities.
*Collaborate with Supply Chain and Supplier Quality teams to understand supplier performance compared to expectation.
Requirements:
*Minimum of 5 years of experience in vendor or customer management.
*Bachelor's Degree or higher in relevant field
*Ability to understand and work from electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
*Must have a high technical aptitude.
*Previous knowledge of commonly used controls engineering concepts, practices, and procedures.
*Ability to understand manufacturer data sheets and apply them in practice.
*Work with personnel at all levels of an organization.
*Maintain poise and focus under time constraint pressures and the potential of long work hours.
*Computer proficiency with demonstrated experience in MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
*Must be able to travel 30% of the year.
Desired Qualifications:
*Experience in Autodesk Software or equivalent.
*Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management Software
*Experience with root cause analysis practices
