Head Coach - Esports

The head coach is responsible for the advising and coaching of the Club Esports Program.

Duties: The head coach will:

  • Execute a clearly defined philosophy of coaching and teaching Coed Club Esports.
  • Assist in preparing Esports for competitions / tournaments and provide assistance organizing and hosting at least one tournament per semester.
  • Assist the club sport in recruiting, on campus events and tournaments to find qualified student-athletes.
  • Supervise any volunteer coaches (if applicable).
  • Act as monitor of Discord and other tournament or gaming platforms during official practice and events.
  • Advise team on fundraising activities to meet teams' financial goals.
  • Create a supportive and engaging environment for student-athletes.
  • Act as a mandatory reporter for student issues and concerns and potential Title IX and College Code of Conduct violations.
  • Report program or facility issues or concerns.
  • Share team results with Student Life and Athletic Programs.
  • Encourage and promote student academic success.
  • Display a commitment to equality in team Esports development and training.
  • Comply with all College and policies and procedures / rules and regulations and all other aspects of coaching club sport program.
  • Coach as a professional, mentor, and excellent representative of the values of Bucks County Community College.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience coaching Esports.
  • Knowledge of the rules and organization of gaming competitions.
  • Valid Driver's License and good driving record.
  • Must be willing to travel to away performances or competitions as a club sport coach unless waived by Student Life and Athletic Programs (if applicable).

Preferred Qualification:

  • CPR /First Aid Certification

Season Salary: $3,500
