Job Description

The Accountant is responsible for executing the day to day activities of the team they are assigned to within the department. The Accountant is expected to manage their assignments based on prioritization and direction and raise issues as appropriate.

This position is a permanent remote home-based worker. Your home office does not need to be near an Allstate office, but it does need to be in the United States. This position is eligible for a monthly connectivity reimbursement to offset the costs of internet and phone expenses. Key Responsibilities
  • Working collaboratively within the team and across the department
  • Implementing, reporting, and communicating the impact of business and accounting related initiatives on assigned processes and financial statements
  • Participating in process improvement projects
  • Preparing analytical schedules, analyzing variances, and providing analytical support based on internal customer requests
  • Preparing quarterly/annual statutory and/or GAAP financial statements and schedules/exhibits.
  • Preparing and analyzing account reconciliations
  • Monthly close and related processing and analysis (e.g. account analysis, preparation of journal entries)
Education
  • 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)
Experience
  • 2 years of accounting related experience (Preferred)
  • Proficiency in excel
Education & Experience (in lieu)
  • In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is $41,200 - 70,150 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation, which includes a drug screen.
