Ampact is looking for an experienced Talent Acquistion Partner.

About Ampact: Ampact is a national nonprofit that specializes in implementing and scaling evidence-based AmeriCorps programs across three focus areas: education, environment, and healthy futures. Most of the programming at Ampact is focused on education - specifically through the Reading Corps, Math Corps and Early Learning Corps programs. These programs have a 20-year track record in providing high-dosage tutoring to over 50,000 students annually and have been tested rigorously through independent evaluations. Ampact has experienced significant growth in recent years and has ambition for continued growth.

Ampact has 325+ employees and 3,500+ AmeriCorps members across 10 states. Its annual operating budget is $115 million. Ampact is headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota with employees located in 10 states.

This Talent Acquistion Partner is responsible for recruiting experienced talent into program and operations staff positions across the organization. Executes full-cycle recruitment including: attraction, sourcing, interviewing, selection, and hiring employees in a fast growing environment. This position assists in leading recruiting-related initiatives, projects, and supports other human resources activities.



Responsibilities

Essential Functions

    Full-cycle recruitment: Implement comprehensive full cycle recruitment to successfully recruit quality, diverse candidate pool. Continually monitor talent acquisition metrics to gauge the success of recruitment tactics and strategies and adjust priorities as necessary.
  1. Planning: Actively shape and execute targeted strategies that lead to high quality candidates and successful hires. Manage all open positions and promote open jobs to maximize visibility and candidate flow.
  1. Sourcing: Identify talent for exempt and nonexempt job openings using a variety of sources, techniques and best channels to find and reach candidates in diverse talent pools. Use internal and external channels including social media, job boards, internet sourcing, member alumni, referrals, professional and community networks, and other creative means to source candidates.
  1. Screening: Screens resumes and applications, conducts screening interviews, educates candidates about Ampact and AmeriCorps.
  1. Interviewing and Selection: Coordinate and conduct interviews. Manage interview processes to ensure protocols are followed and well-informed selection decisions are made.
  1. Hiring: Make offers, secure the hire and communicate hiring decisions to key stakeholders. Ensure smooth transition through pre-employment to onboarding.
  1. Relationship Management: Engage hiring managers and candidates ensuring positive recruitment experiences
  1. Partner with hiring managers, to develop understanding of role requirements, the work and desired candidate profiles. Conduct recruitment planning meeting and provide regular updates regarding the status of recruitment efforts.
  1. Provide recruitment guidance, including facilitation of training, interviewing workshops and legal compliance education.
  1. Provide a positive candidate experience, ensuring timely, accurate communication and process management.
  1. Develop Networks: Identify and develop networks with professional associations, industry groups and community organizations to meet recruitment goals and represent the Ampact brand.
  1. Build professional and online networks to build candidate pipelines.
  1. Source active and passive candidates.
  1. Develop network with diverse communities to increase the diversity of the candidate pools.
  1. Recruitment Technology: Use applicant tracking systems and other recruiting software to track candidates through each step of the recruiting process. Provides input into system changes and updates. Use data, trends and metrics to problem-solve and create solutions.
  1. Employment Branding: Support the Ampact employment brand, articulating the employee value proposition and marketing careers at Ampact. Leverage marketing methods and tools to attract and recruit candidates.
  1. Project Management: Identify and implement projects to build and continuously improve the recruitment process for experienced candidates and hiring managers, including systems, online presence, tools and internal practices.
  1. Partner with internal stakeholders to coordinate recruiting initiatives and priorities
  1. Monitor the external talent marketplace trends and best practices. Recommend new recruiting initiatives, products, tools and techniques.
  1. Design effective processes and ensure compliance with all federal, state and local laws.
  1. HR Team Support: Provide additional support as needed to meet the goals of the team. Participate in team meetings; provide updates, and collaborate across roles to ensure successful recruitment, onboarding and employment experiences.


Qualifications

Qualifications

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience

Minimum Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience with experienced hire recruitment
  • Background and experience in the nonprofit industry(preferred)
  • Experience with iCIMS applicant tracking system (preferred)
  • Experience in sales, recruitment marketing or relationship management role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service and results orientation
  • Knowledge of relevant employment laws and recruiting best practices
  • Experience in networking and developing relationships in a variety of settings such as nonprofit and community organizations
  • Ability to effectively screen and interview candidates for staff positions at all organizational levels
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative to achieve recruitment goals
  • Fluency with business software applications such as MS Office and tools such as Zoom, MS Teams
  • Effective project management skills
  • Experience using data to make decisions and establish priorities
  • Self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and ability to grow and develop intercultural competence
  • Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people
  • Ability to implement recruitment cycle in a 100% virtual environment (if needed)
  • Ability to manage recruiting for multiple job openings, internal projects and deadlines simultaneously
