Student Research Associate - Pediatrics

Description

Under the direction of the Investigators and Research
Nurse, the Student Researcher will assist in the coordination of all research
activities. They will serve as the primary data and regulatory manager for
clinical and translational research projects under The PI in the Department of
Pediatrics, Division of Allergy & Immunology. Primary
responsibilities include but are not limited to data entry using electronic
systems such as Medidata, Redcap or similar programs, and preparation of case
report forms, and other tools to collect study data. The Student Researcher
will manage regulatory functions which will include maintaining all regulatory
files, submission of regulatory records to sponsor agencies, submissions to the
local and central IRB's, regular correspondence with the sponsors and CRO'S,
participation in weekly meetings in person or over Zoom. Other duties include
patient diary review and related reporting of adverse events. The Student
Researcher will correspond with Investigational Drug Pharmacy and may assist
with picking up investigational drugs for delivery to the CTRC (Clinical
Translational Research Center). The Student Researcher may assist in review of
research billing and subject reimbursement, and may also assist in the handling
and shipping of biological specimens. This position will report to the Research
Nurse and Principal Investigator.

Salary Range: $17.30 - $45.00 Hourly

Qualifications

Required:

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Familiarity with basic spreadsheet and word processing use

Adaptability to feedback and ability to adjust to a
fast-paced work environment

Quantitative skills are required to perform dilutions of
chemicals in a systematic manner

Preferred:

Prior experience working with mice

Interest in developing a long-term career in biomedical,
translational research
