Are you passionate about delighting customers with the software you write? Do you enjoy solving complex problems with innovative and well-crafted software? In this role, you will serve as a technical lead as we transform existing products and technologies with a focus on utilizing healthcare data to modernize how individuals navigate the US healthcare system and participate in their own healthcare journey.

Day-to-day activities include:

  • Leads team through the design, development, and operations of applications.
  • Fosters a culture of continuous improvement that drives the team to constantly strive to improve the world around (processes solutions, and practices) them and being better every day.
  • Mentor junior team members and participate in code reviews.
  • Create and communicate technical design and recommendations for application portfolio.
  • Provide hands-on coding of Java and React based applications between 40-60% depending on size of project.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of applications and cloud infrastructure within application portfolio.

What are the requirements?

  • Minimum of 8 years with Java technologies, 3 years building applications in AWS.
  • Experience designing RESTful API'S.
  • Knowledge of general database design and ORM tools.
  • Experience with software engineering best practices including establishing coding standards, design patterns, continuous delivery, code reviews, TDD, and secure coding principles.
  • Collaborative with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

  • Minimum of 8 years with Java technologies, 3 years building applications in AWS.

How much should I expect to travel?

Less than 10% travel is expected.
