As a Junior Data Integration Specialist, support a data integration team as they maintain, enhance, and expand the capabilities of our customer's online tool for sharing, searching, linking, and analyzing information across jurisdictional boundaries. A national repository of criminal justice records submitted by agencies from around the nation, this system enables users to "connect the dots between data on people, places, and things that may seem unrelated to link investigations and investigators. As a junior developer you will maintain and repair data adapters that play a vital role in making this data searchable across agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain existing data adapters that convert state and local data into formats ingestible to client data repository.

    • Review changes to state and local databases
    • Review changes to client data repository
    • Coordinate with senior developers
    • Troubleshoot and repair errors


  • Actively participate in virtual meetings
  • Develop, maintain, and use automated tools to support all aspects of data integration services.
  • Maintain and upgrade existing data integration projects.
  • Provide recommendations and experience in using and/or developing various Extract Transform Load (ETL) products, or other automated data integration tools.
  • Recommend and implement standardization in the data integration process.



Requirements

  • 2 years of software development experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite



Desired Skills

  • Two years' experience in Software Procedural Languages. Procedural Language/Structured Query Language (PL/SQL) code and Transact-Structured Query Language (T-SQL) code is desired
  • Two years' experience in databases. Oracle, Microsoft Access, MySQL, Sybase, Firebird database software, c-treeACE, SQL Developer, and relational databases is desired. ears' experience in Programming Languages. JAVA, C, C#, and .NET is desired.
  • Two years' experience in transforming languages and schemas. XML, XSLT, XML Schema Definition (XSD), and Document Type Definition (DTD) is desired.
  • Proficiency with web services is required. SOAP and REST Protocols is desired.
  • One years' experience in using data standards, data validation tools: National Information Exchange Model (NIEM), Logical Entity eXchange Specifications (LEXS), N-DEx IEPDs, Conformance Testing Assistant (ConTesA), XCOTA is desired.
  • Two years' maintaining and troubleshooting Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) data connections: CJIS Enterprise SFTP is desired
