The Alliance is a local, public, not-for-profit managed care health plan committed to making high quality health care services accessible and affordable to Alameda County residents.

Established in 1996, the Alliance was created by and for Alameda County residents. The Alliance provides health care coverage to over 270,000 low-income children and adults through two programs: Medi-Cal and Alliance Group Care. With over 20 years of service to the community, the Alliance continues to demonstrate that the managed care model can achieve the highest standard of care and successfully meet the individual needs of health plan members. We remain deeply committed to our mission and look forward to many more years of serving the health care needs of Alameda County residents. The Alliance staff and provider network reflect the county’s cultural and linguistic diversity. Our members' optimal health is always our first priority.
