Bay Cove Human Services | Diversity Employer

www.baycovehumanservices.org/

Bay Cove Human Services began in 1974 as a single program—Andrew House, a medically-supervised alcohol detoxification unit. In the nearly 45 years since, the agency has expanded its services to include a wider continuum of treatment options for people with substance use disorder, as well as programs for individuals challenged by intellectual/developmental disabilities, mental illness, aging, homelessness, or some combination of all of the above. Today, Bay Cove encompasses more than 170 program locations throughout Greater Boston/southeastern Massachusetts, employing a staff of over 2,000 human service professionals.

The agency continues to grow today, with Bay Cove continually adding new services, working each day to be one of the leading human services agencies in Massachusetts, and providing our special brand of individualized services to thousands of people, one person at a time.

Our Mission

Bay Cove Human Services partners with people to overcome challenges and realize personal potential.

OUR COMMITMENT
To carry out the Bay Cove mission by providing individualized and compassionate services for people facing the challenges associated with developmental disabilities, mental illness, homelessness, aging-related needs and/or drug and alcohol addiction.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Diversity, equity and inclusion have always been central to Bay Cove Human Services’ work. We were founded on the principles that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, and that people should have access to the services that they need to help them live the lives they want to live.

We hold these same beliefs in regards to the exceptional staff who work for our agency. Bay Cove’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Steering Committee—comprised of staff from throughout our agency—help Bay Cove institutionally address biases, disparities, and structural barriers that impact the conditions, experiences and outcomes of those historically and systemically left behind or excluded. Bay Cove’s DEI efforts place underrepresented voices at the center of our work to establish priorities, determine goals, and to turn plans into actions—making Bay Cove a safe and welcoming workplace, and one that offers the same access to opportunities for all our staff.

Join Our Team

Bay Cove’s workforce of more than 2,000 full- and part-time employees is our agency’s greatest resource. Although we are a large organization, we recognize that exceptional care depends upon each of our individual staff members establishing a positive therapeutic relationship with a small number of individual clients. Every one of our employees is vital to this process.

We take special care in selecting employees who have a genuine dedication to our mission, the ability to work independently, and a willingness to cooperate with other team members. We value an applicant's interpersonal skills, emotional maturity, and positive work attitude as much as their formal education or work experience. The ideal applicant possesses all of these qualifications, but our agency is strongly committed to finding the next generation of human services superstars, helping them to grow professionally and advance their careers. Bay Cove employs professionals from a wide field of disciplines, all of whom share the common goal of providing the highest-quality human services to men, women, and children with the greatest challenges.

Working at Bay Cove offers compensation that goes well beyond a paycheck. The positive impact that you can make on the everyday lives of the amazing people we serve carries with it a level of satisfaction that can’t be quantified. If you’re looking to make a difference, Bay Cove is looking for you! Please check out our available job opportunities today, and we look forward to meeting you!
